Moley Robotics has created the worlds first robotic kitchen. This robot has two arms and hands that have many joints to enable it to hold and use cooking appliances similar to how humans do. This robot not only does the cooking, but it also cleans up after it has finished.
To teach the robot how to cook, famous chefs wore motion capture gloves and wrist bands, similar to a video game, while cooking a meal. The robot could then repeat the same steps exactly the same as the chef and create a perfect dish. The kitchen that the robot comes in has appliances, cabinets, safety features, computing and robotics all built into it. A comercial version of the Moley robot will be realsed late this year.
